Registered with Psychological Board of Australia, Medicare and Accredited Workcover (Return to Work SA) Provider
Member of AAPI (Australian Association of Psychologists Inc) and IPPP (Institute of Private Practicing Psychologists).
Voula has been a Registered Psychologist for over 32 years. In her many years, Voula has accrued extensive experience in counselling, therapy and assessment, both vocational and clinical. She has an interest in assisting individuals with their personal, educational and career development and working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, pain disorders and other complex and chronic medical conditions, as well as dealing with interpersonal issues, including dating and relationship counselling. In the last ten years, she has had a particular interest in trauma, abuse and domestic violence, as well as bullying and harassment within the workplace. Increasingly, her focus has been to work with adults rather than working with children and adolescents.
Concurrent to Voula’s clinical and vocational psychology work, she has undertaken various consultancy projects, including general organisational psychology related projects relating to areas such as recruitment, outplacement, managing organisational change, workplace conflict and advising on psychological issues pertaining to Work, Health & Safety, Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
A significant component of her work has been medico-legal in nature, including independent assessment, file review, report preparation, as well as occasional court appearances as an expert witness. Voula has operated within the workers’ compensation arena for three decades and has also assisted clients who have motor vehicle accident insurance claims, income protection insurance claims and in family court matters.
Voula takes a holistic approach to her work with clients, not only identifying factors pertaining to the individual but also exploring the management of outside stressors impacting on health and function.
